Hyderabad: A constable working with the Prohibition and Excise (P&E) Department was found hanging to the ceiling fan at the P&E Rangareddy district office on Sunday.
According to the police, the constable Arkathla Ashaiah (48), of Mominpet in Vikarabad district, worked with the Chevella P&S station. On Saturday he reported for watch duty at the P&E office at Shamshabad. “On Sunday afternoon, another constable B Ganesh, who came to relieve Ashaiah from duty found him hanging to the ceiling fan in the office. The body has been shifted to mortuary for postmortem and a case has been registered,” an official from RGI Airport police station, said.
The family members of the man informed the police that Ashaiah was suffering from health related issues. The police are investigating the matter.
