Rape attempt on 3-year-old: Youngster from UP thrashed, handed over to police in Warangal

Warangal: A youngster from Uttar Pradesh, who allegedly attempted to rape a three-year-old girl, was caught and thrashed by locals before he was handed over to the police in Warangal city on Thursday.
In the incident that took place during midnight hours, the accused Ramzan took a three-year-old child of a family residing in Girmajipet to the top of a building and tried to abuse her sexually.
When neighbours heard the baby crying, they climbed up the building and caught Ramzan.
They beat him up and informed the Intezargunj police about the incident. Based on a complaint from the girl’s family, a case was registered against the accused under various sections of BNS besides POCSO, Inspector of Police Shukur said.
