Rapido driver held for knife attack, chain snatching in Sangareddy
A Rapido bike taxi driver was arrested for allegedly stabbing a woman and snatching her gold mangalsutra while she was grazing cattle in Mamidipally village of Sangareddy district. Police recovered the stolen ornament and the bike used in the crime
Sangareddy: A Rapido driver, who was accustomed to luxurious life, allegedly attempted to snatch a gold ‘mangalsutra’ from a woman after attacking her with a knife at Mamidipally village on Monday.
The accused person, Mythari Jagan (37) of Thatipally, was working as a motorbike taxi driver. He attempted to snatch the gold chain of a woman, Sujatha, at Mamidipally while she was grazing cattle.
When she confronted him, Jagan stabbed the woman and decamped with the chain on Monday. The Sangareddy Rural police nabbed the accused in Sangareddy on Wednesday. The police also recovered the gold ornament, and a bike from him. The accused was produced before the court.
