Rare murder: Man kills brother by electrocution in Medak

Gopal and Shankar (28), who are brothers, had shared a room on Friday night. Early the next morning, Shankar's cries startled the family, who hurried into the room. They saw Gopal fleeing the house and found Shankar dead, his leg connected to a live electric wire.

Medak: In a shocking incident, a man killed his brother by electrocution when he was asleep at Nanu Thanda in Shivvampet mandal in the early hours of Saturday.

The brothers Gopal and Shankar (28) had slept in the same room on Friday night. When Shankar cried out early in the morning, other family members rushed into the room and saw Gopal running out of the house. They found Shankar dead with his leg was connected to a live electric wire.


Following the complaint, the Shivvampet police reached the village and examined the crime scene. The body was taken to the government hospital in Narsapur for postmortem. The reasons for Gopal’s decision to eliminate his brother were not immediately ascertained.
