Rates of sevas, pujas to be hiked at Bhadradri temple
Temple EO, B Shivaji asked the devotees to submit their suggestions and objections in writing to the temple office within fifteen days and if no objections are received the proposed hike will be implemented
Bhadrachalam: The authorities at Sita Ramachandra Swamy Devasthanam here have proposed to increase the rates of different religious sevas, pujas and accommodation.
The increased rates of sevas and poojas are as follows: Moolavarula Abhishekam (Every Sunday) – Rs 1500, Nitya Kalyanam- Rs 1500, Archana-Rs 300, Subrabhata Seva- Rs 200, Pavalimpu Seva- Rs 200, Sahasra Namarchana- Rs 500 and other poojas-Rs 516. Similarly, the hiked accommodation charges are as follows: air-conditioned room- Rs 999, non-air-conditioned room-Rs 400, double bedroom cottage-Rs 2500 plus GST and single bedroom cottage-Rs 1200 plus GST.
In a statement on Wednesday, temple Executive Officer B Shivaji asked the devotees to submit their suggestions and objections in writing to the temple office within fifteen days. If no objections are received the proposed hike in the rates will be implemented. In another statement, he revealed that following the State government’s directions issued in the wake of the covid-19 second wave, it was planned to celebrate Kalyanotsavam on Sri Rama Navami, Maha Pattabhishekam and other rituals at Chitrakutamandapam at the temple only in the presence of a few priests and officials.
Similarly, Tiruveedhi Seva will be stopped and it is decided to reduce daily sale of seva tickets by 50 per cent to maintain social distancing. Steps will be taken to return the money to the devotees who have booked tickets online to participate in Sri Rama Navami celebrations. If the devotees, who booked Rs 5000 ‘Vubhayadata’ ticket, consented their names will be read during the Kalyanotsavam in their absence and sacred vastrams and talambralu will be sent to them by post/courier.
Likewise, mutyala talambralu and prasadam will be sent to the devotees who have booked Rs 1116 tickets , Shivaji informed further.
