Ravi Teja’s ‘Khiladi’ to release in theatres

Fans of Telugu star Ravi Teja will be missing the action as the makers of upcoming action entertainer Khiladi have decided not to take the OTT route.

The makers have announced that the movie would be released only in theatres. Director Ramesh Varma for the first time joined hands with Ravi Teja for an action entertainer and the film’s teaser was unleashed recently to a positive response from Telugu fans. Social media is abuzz with speculations that ‘Khiladi’ will hit an OTT platform.

The film’s producer Satyanarayana Koneru, however, informed that the film will release in theatres only. “We request everyone not to believe such rumors. ‘Khiladi’ was perceived and shot for a big-screen experience. We are making the film in an uncompromised manner. Story, taking, technicalities — everything regarding the film will be seamless. Ramesh Varma is putting in extra efforts to offer a thrilling ride to the audiences. The Italy-shooting portions have come out exceptionally well. DSP’s music, action choreography by four stunt directors will be other major assets. We will release songs one after the other,” the producer added.

Sujit Vaasudev and GK Vishnu are the cinematographers. Ravi Teja plays a dual role. Bollywood production house Pen Studios bankrolls the project in association with A Studios.

The film under Havish Production comes with the tagline play smart. Srikanth Vissa and music director DSP’s brother Sagar provide dialogues, while Srimani is penning the lyrics. Meenakshi Chaudhary and Dimple Hayathi are the leading ladies.
