Reactor blast sparks major fire at pharma company in Yadadri Bhongir

A fire erupted at a pharma company in Jai Kesaram, Yadadri Bhongir, following explosions in two reactors. Workers fled safely, firefighting teams contained the flames, and authorities suspect a short circuit. No casualties have been reported as investigation continues.

Bhongir: A major fire broke out at SR Laboratories Pvt Ltd, a pharma company in Jai Kesaram, Choutuppal mandal, Yadadri Bhongir district, late on Saturday night reportedly after two reactors exploded in one of the company’s blocks. Within minutes, large flames engulfed the facility.

The explosions triggered thick smoke and loud blasts, causing panic among nearby villagers. Workers inside the premises fled in fear, with the sounding of the danger siren alerting them in time.


Three fire engines were rushed to the spot, and firefighting teams were engaged in efforts to bring the flames under control.

Authorities suspect a possible short circuit as the cause of the fire, with a detailed investigation underway to ascertain the exact reason. No casualties have been reported.
