Khammam: A case was registered against a government official doing real estate business for cheating buyers by promising to build an apartment, informed Khammam two-town CI, Balakrishna.

The accused, Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Venkata Narayana (Khammam), who was engaged in real estate business made an agreement with buyers for developing a Happy Home Apartment on four-acre land in Velugumatla area of Khammam urban mandal within 24 months and took money for the flats but failed to honour the agreement.


The case against him was registered after a complaint of cheating was filed by an individual, Marupaka Venkata Chary of Edulapuram in Khammam rural mandal alleging that Narayana cheated him and failed to develop the apartment in survey No. 546 Velugumatla area. The accused had taken money for the same in 2021, he added.
