Medak: A recently married man, who ventured into a lake to harvest lotus flowers, drowned at Bujaranpally in Pedda Shankarampet mandal on Thursday. The deceased, Anji (27), had married a woman from Pedda Shankarampet just two months ago. After noticing him drowning in the lake, locals alerted the police and fire department officials, who retrieved the body hours later. The incident left his wife and family in shock. The police registered a case.
