A 27-year-old recently married man drowned while venturing into a lake to harvest lotus flowers at Bujaranpally in Pedda Shankarampet mandal on Thursday. Locals alerted police and fire department officials, who retrieved his body hours later.

The victims were identified as Hirya Nayak (51) and his son Raju Nayak (26).
