Hyderabad: TRS MLA KP Vivekanand on Wednesday said the remarks made by the State BJP leaders against Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy should be referred to Assembly Privilege Committee.
Speaking during the discussion on budget in the Assembly, he said it has become a habit for the BJP leaders to speak against the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Ministers and the Director-General of Police M Mahendar Reddy and make comments through WhatsApp.
Since they were unable to face the government, the BJP leaders were making remarks unnecessarily, he said, criticizing the Central government for failing to give funds for Telangana during floods in the last monsoon.
However, the Centre gave funds for Gujarat and Karnataka. He took strong exception for spreading false information against the welfare schemes including Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak implemented in the State.
