BRS Assembly Whip KP Vivekanand challenged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to release a white paper on the Congress government’s 1,000-day performance and hold a detailed debate in the Assembly, alleging failures in implementing promises and Six Guarantees.

The BRS accused the Congress government of using the proposed HILT policy to facilitate large-scale land transfers and alleged a Rs 6 lakh crore land scam. Party leaders demanded a probe, accountability and transparency in land-related decisions taken by the government.

BRS MLAs D Sudheer Reddy and KP Vivekanand have urged the Telangana Public Service Commission to raise the maximum age limit for recruitment from 44 to 46 years and reduce the application fee from Rs.1,000 to Rs.100.

The Telangana High Court has directed several MLAs accused of defecting from the BRS to the Congress to file their counters by May 6. The order came during hearings on petitions filed by BRS legislators seeking disqualification of defectors.

The Speaker will hear the disqualification petition filed against Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari on Wednesday. The notice was served on Monday, while a decision is still pending on the case involving Jagtial MLA Dr Sanjay Kumar.

The Telangana High Court has reserved its judgment on the appeals filed by the Telangana Assembly Secretary challenging the single judge’s order regarding disqualification petitions.

To this effect, Qutbullapur BRS MLA KP Vivekanand wrote a letter to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy here on Monday.

He won the seat by a massive margin of 85,576 votes over his rival Kuna Srisailam Goud.
