Hyderabad: You must be thinking that there’s almost nothing you can buy for Rs 10 these days, but what if you are wrong? There’s a new place in Vayupuri, Neredmet that is serving crispy hot dosas with putnala/coconut chutney and allam/pudina chutney for just Rs 10.

Jyoti Home Foods was started just a month ago and is already a super hit among the people living in the area. It opens at 7.30 am and shuts at 11 pm, and has become the new hub for Secunderabadis to have breakfast and late-night snacks.

Graphic Designer Praveen Krishna and his wife Jyoti started the concept of Rs 10 dosa two months ago on a footpath in Sainikpuri and the response was awesome. So, they decided to expand the idea into a proper eatery.

“Our dosas are super soft, homely, and healthy. It has attracted a lot of people from the surrounding areas as well as youngsters. Most of them have two dosas for Rs 20 for breakfast and they leave the stall with satisfaction. Our entire motto is not to be commercial,” shares Krishna.

Jyoti Home Foods also serves yummy butter dosa, ghee dosa, onion dosa (Rs 20), egg dosa (Rs 30), and paneer dosa (Rs 40). Apart from this, you can try the plate meals (Rs 50), full meals (Rs 60), dosa with chicken curry (Rs 60), and kodi kura chitti gaare at this place.

“Next we will start serving mouth-watering pot biryani for a minimum price. Food has always been my passion and all the recipes are by me and my wife. The dosa batter and chutneys are freshly ground at the restaurant itself and we do not refrigerate anything. We will be next opening branches in Sainikpuri, ECIL, and Kukatpally,” added Krishna.
