Rajahmundry: State BJP president Somu Veerraju who wanted the name of Jinnah Tower Centre in Guntur city changed, has now come with fresh demands.
Talking to media persons here on Friday, he said that apart from Sir Arthur Cotton, it is pertinent to remember local engineer Veeranna who played a key role in construction of Dowleswaram project. Similarly, the name of the government King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam should also be changed, he said.
“Why King George? We can name it after Tenneti Viswanadham and Gouthu Latchchanna. If they don’t change the name of Jinnah Tower Centre, we will do so after we come to power,” he stated.
Veerraju also defended his remark that the BJP would give cheap liquor for Rs.50, and said by doing so, each family would save Rs. 2 lakh a year.
He hoped his party would come to power and would set up country poultry farms for the unemployed in every constituency.
