Hyderabad: Renova Hospitals has made its foray into cancer care with the launch of ‘Renova Soumya Cancer Hospitals’ at Karkhana on Saturday.
The new cancer facility has a capacity of 100 beds and has been developed with a cost of Rs 60 crore, Managing Director, Renova Hospitals, P Sridhar said. In the near future, 40-beds more will be added to its overall capacity.
The hospital will be equipped with latest technology including high-end diagnostic equipment including Truebeam with Hyperarc radiation machine and 4D PET CT for accurate diagnosis, medical expertise to provide treatments for all kinds of cancer. The Renova Hospitals is also planning to set up around 10 cancer facilities in Delhi, Allahabad, Jaipur, etc. with an investment of around Rs.500 crore, Sridhar said.
The cancer facility was thrown open by president, National Board of Examinations (NBE) Prof Abhijat Sheth along with vice-president, NBE, Shiva Kant Misra. Former Member, NBE, Dr Ajay Kumar, national vice-president, IMA, Dr E Ravindra Reddy and other senior doctors were present.
