Hyderabad: As the country celebrates its 73^rd Republic Day on January 26, several Telugu film stars turned patriotic as they took to their respective social media handles to send out wishes to their millions of followers and fans.

‘Akhanda’ actor Pragya Jaiswal dressed in a white kurta palazzo set on the special occasion and she complimented her R-Day outfit with green bangles and jhumkas. “Let’s all aim for unity and harmony… My country is my pride. #HappyRepublicDay,” Pragya captioned the pic on Instagram.

‘Konda Polam’ star Rakul Preet Singh posted an old snap of her cheering team India in a cricket stadium. Holding the Indian Flag, Rakul is all smiles in the photo that she captioned on Instagram, “Freedom in mind, faith in words, pride in our heart and memories of our souls. Let’s salute the nation on Republic Day!! Happppppppy Republic Day (sic).”

On the other hand, ‘Pushpa’ star Rashmika Mandanna, ‘F2’ actor Mehreen Pirzada and Milky Beauty Tamannaah Bhatia shared Republic Day wishes on their Instagram Stories.

Republic Day is when the country marks and celebrates the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on January 26, 1950, replacing the Government of India Act as the governing document of India and thus, turning the nation into a newly formed republic.
