Retired Hyderabad engineer drowns in lake at Adibatla
A retired deputy engineer from the Panchayat Raj Department, Ramesh (62), was found drowned in Turkayamjal Masab Cheruvu at Adibatla on Wednesday. He had gone missing a day earlier. Police registered a case after his wife identified the body.

Hyderabad: A retired deputy engineer from Panchayat Raj Department drowned in a lake at Adibatla in the city outskirts on Wednesday.
The man, Ramesh, (62) a resident of Saroornagar left his house on Tuesday and did not return home. His wife, Paduri Rohini, made a complaint at the Saroornagar police station. While the police were trying to trace the missing man, his body was found in the Turkayamjal Masab Cheruvu on Wednesday evening by locals, who alerted the Adibatla police.
The police retrieved the body and sent a message to all police stations. The Saroornagar police took Rohini to the spot where the woman identified the body as that of her husband and the fact was corroborated with the help of his sandal left on the shore. A case is registered.
