Kothagudem: A retired SCCL employee allegedly committed suicide by jumping to death from a bridge on Murredu stream in the town on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Kondapaka Satyanarayana (65), a resident of Vidyanagar Colony in Chunchupalli mandal, Kothagudem town, after serving in SCCL at Manugur in the district. The reasons for his extreme step were not known.
Police reached the spot on receiving information from the locals about the suicide. A case was registered and investigations were taken up.
