Retired senior scientist selected for ‘Distinguished Service Award’

Hyderabad: Retired senior scientist and metallurgist from Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC), MNV Viswanath has been selected for ‘Distinguished Service Award’ for year 2021 by Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), Kolkata.
The service award will be conferred during the platinum jubilee celebrations of Indian Institute of Metals, which will be held on New Delhi on November 14. The senior scientist served IIM, Hyderabad chapter in various capacities including Joint Secretary, Treasurer and Secretary and contributed immensely for the growth and sustenance of the professional institution, a press release said.
Viswanath worker as senior scientist in Quality Assurance group of NFC for four decades and has many awards to his credit. The scientist is a life member of many professional bodies including IIM, ISNT, INS (Indian Nuclear Society) Academy of Science, Technology and Communication (ASTC) and Telangana Academy of Sciences (TAMS), the press release added.
