Retired teacher dies on the spot, son injured as car overturns in Telangana’s Adilabad

Adilabad: A 65-year-old man died on the spot, while his son sustained injuries when their car overturned on NH44 at Narayanapur village in Neradigonda mandal on Monday.

Police said Nomula Venkat Reddy, a retired teacher from Kouta (B) village in Boath mandal, was grievously injured, while his son Sharath Reddy had minor injuries when the car turned turtle after one of the tyres burst.

The car crashed into another car moving in the same direction. Death was instant for Venkat Reddy.

The passengers of the other car escaped unhurt.

Sharath was admitted to a hospital in Nirmal town and his medical condition is said to be stable.
