Reunion of classmates turns tragic as one dies in honeybee attack in Warangal
The deceased was identified as Mydam Dayakar (34) of Khila Warangal.
Warangal Urban: The reunion event of the 10th class batch of 2000-01 of the Mamnoor battalion Zilla Parishad High School (ZPTC) turned into a tragedy as one of them died and two others sustained injuries in a honeybee attack here on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Mydam Dayakar (34) of Khila Warangal. According to the sources, more than 30 classmates gathered at the school premises to walk down the memory lane. Unfortunately, the honeybees attacked three of them after the smoke from firewood used to prepare food upset the beehive.
The injured have been rushed to MGM Hospital for treatment.
Dayakar died of cardiac arrest at the hospital as he developed BP and other complications following the bee attack, while the two others are undergoing treatment at the hospital, police said.
