About 10 labourers were injured when a swarm of honeybees attacked them while they were carrying out repair work on the Sarvai canal in Nizamabad village of Konaraopet mandal. The injured were shifted to hospitals for treatment.

Those who were taking part in the procession had to abandon the corpse on the road and run to protect themselves from the honeybees

The episode began when the bees, which emerged from the nearby trees, attacked a boy who was practising karate in the Junior college grounds. Other people who were present on the ground tried to rescue him. However, they were also attacked by the bees

The deceased was identified as Mydam Dayakar (34) of Khila Warangal.
