Hyderabad: BJP State president N Ramchander Rao charged that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was caught with BJP phobia, especially union Minister G Kishan Reddy phobia and suggested he should focus on delivering the promises made to the people.
It was not wise on the Chief Minister’s part to blame Union Minister G Kishan Reddy for every issue. To cover up his failures, the Chief Minister has been blaming the Union government and the Union Minister, he said in a reference to Metro Rail, Regional Ring Road projects approvals and other issues.
In an informal chat with media persons here on Saturday, the BJP State president was critical of the Chief Minister.
Yielding to the BJP’s pressure, the Congress government handed over the Kaleshwaram probe to the CBI. The Chief Minister should bear in mind that neither the Union government nor BJP can dictate terms to the CBI. The central probe agency works independently, he stressed.
The BJP State president also wondered how the Chief Minister would sanction Rs.1,000 crore to Osmania University as the State government is struggling to pay salaries to employees.
The education portfolio is held by the Chief Minister but the sector is plagued by issues like poor quality midday meals, lack of teachers and amenities in schools. Instead of addressing these issues,
Revanth Reddy flew to New Delhi for over 50 times and the occasion should be celebrated grandly, he said sarcastically.
The Congress government has failed to fulfill the promises made to the people. Fearing backlash from people, it was deliberately delaying the conduct of local body elections, the BJP State president added.
