Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy formally inviting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, Rahul Gandhi and senior Congress leaders to the Telangana Rising 2047 Global Summit, scheduled to be held at the proposed Bharat Future City in Hyderabad on December 8 and 9. He urged the Prime Minister and the Union Ministers to extend full support to major infrastructure proposals tied to the State’s development.

During a meeting with Prime Minister Modi in the Parliament on Wednesday, the Chief Minister informed that the State’s long-term development blueprint aligned with the Centre’s “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision. He explained that Telangana is pursuing an ambitious goal of reaching a $3 trillion economy, backed by a comprehensive Telangana Rising 2047 vision document, prepared with inputs from NITI Aayog and domain experts.

He sought immediate approvals for the Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II expansion of 162.5 km at an estimated cost of Rs 43,848 crore, which was proposed as a joint venture with the Centre. He also requested Cabinet clearance for the northern section of the Regional Ring Road (RRR), permissions for the southern stretch, and early sanction for the proposed Regional Ring Rail along the RRR.

The Chief Minister sought special Central support to build a 12-lane Greenfield Expressway from Hyderabad to Bandar Port via Amaravati and a new high-speed Hyderabad–Bengaluru Corridor. A representation was also submitted to the Prime Minister, requesting approval for a four-lane elevated corridor from Mannanur to Srisailam through the Amrabad Tiger Reserve to ensure uninterrupted access to the temple town.

He separately met Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Manohar Lal Khattar, and Ashwini Vaishnaw, inviting them to the summit and discussing sector-specific priorities.

Revanth Reddy later called on senior Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, extending formal invitations and briefing them on the State’s development vision. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, MPs, and AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan accompanied him during the meeting.
