On Tuesday, the Congress submitted an Adjournment Motion in Parliament seeking discussion on the issue. On Wednesday, the party will stage a protest at Jantar Mantar, followed by a delegation led by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi meeting President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday to formally request approval of the Bills passed in the Telangana Assembly.

The State government had passed the reservation Bills on March 17 and forwarded them to Governor C P Radhakrishnan, who subsequently sent them to the President for assent.
