Sangareddy: Pradesh Congress Committee president B Mahesh Kumar Goud was caught on a live microphone admitting that he had sent money to Balkonda to ensure the success of the Janahita Padayatra in that constituency. The remark, made during a private exchange, has now gone viral and triggered political backlash.
The TPCC chief, unaware that his shirt-mounted microphone was still active, was heard murmuring to Ramagundam MLA Makkan Singh Thakur about the arrangements being made in Balkonda. This occurred while Congress MP Suresh Shetkar was addressing the gathering near Andole on Friday.
Thakur had climbed into the campaign vehicle to discuss upcoming plans when Mahesh Kumar Goud was heard saying he had “sent enough money to Balkonda”. Telangana Congress in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan was also seen standing beside them during the exchange.
