Hyderabad: In what has become a familiar pattern, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy did not meet Congress MP Rahul Gandhi during his latest visit to New Delhi on Saturday.

The Chief Minister, accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, met AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal.

Telangana Congress in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan also attended the meeting, which focused on the long-pending appointments of new District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents.

Party sources said the AICC observers had already interacted with district-level leaders, gathered their feedback and submitted recommendations to the party high command.

There was considerable anticipation among aspirants over the new appointments. However, no announcements or timelines were made during the meeting.

The high command had summoned the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and TPCC president to discuss the DCC appointments, strategies to strengthen the organisation at the district level, and other internal matters.
