Hyderabad: A day after Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy made a few statements regarding the crop loan waiver, teachers’ transfers, providing jobs and others, BRS working president KT Rama Rao came down heavily on the Chief Minister, exposing his false claims with facts.
“It’s one thing for a politician to stretch the truth, but rarely have I seen someone lie so blatantly and confidently as Mr. Revanth Reddy” Rama Rao said.Countering the Chief Minister’s claims on teachers’ transfers that since 18 years there were no transfers, the BRS working president said in 2018, a major teacher transfer process took place, involving over 50,000 teachers.
On the Regional Ring Road project, the Chief Minister claimed that along with Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, he had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to secure the project.
Fact, according to Rama Rao, was that the RRR project was proposed by the BRS government in 2017. By December 2018, the union Transport Ministry had granted provisional approval. In June 2021, the NHAI issued tenders for the northern section of the project. The then Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao further requested that the southern part be included under the Bharatmala Pariyojana scheme, he said.Regarding the crop loan waiver scheme, the Chief Minister had announced that as promised, the waiver of farmer loans up to Rs.2 lakh was completed by August 15. On this, the BRS working president said crop loans of just over one-third of farmers were waived. “While farmers are resorting to suicides due to unfulfilled promises, Mr. Revanth claims he’s seeing smiles on the faces of farmers” Rama Rao said, adding that while Rs.49,500 crore was required for full loan waiver, only Rs.17,933 crore was actually waived in three phases.
On the Chief Minister’s claims that in just 90 days, 30,000 jobs were provided to the youth, Rama Rao pointed out that these jobs were already notified by the BRS government. Exams and certificate verifications were conducted by KCR’s administration, he clarified. “All #Scamgress Government did was issue appointment letters for jobs that had already been filled by the previous BRS government” he added.
Apart from the BRS working president, people from different sections also condemned the Chief Minister’s statements and exposed his false claims. Listing out the facts and figures about the above claims made by the Chief Minister on X, Nayini Anurag Reddy, an entrepreneur on X said that there were many more claims by Revanth Reddy that are nowhere near the truth.
“It is surprising to see a CM lying so easily so many times in just one single speech without any discomfort. It is because he probably believes in what Goebbels said: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”,” he said.
@BharathMBNR, another X user asked the Chief Minister to make the claims of filling up of 65,000 jobs within one year at Ashoknagar.
