Hyderabad: Even as many farmers continue to run from pillar from post to get their crop loans waived, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said crop loans up to Rs.2 lakh of every farmer were waived in three installments before August 15.

Recalling that he had vowed on Yadadri Sri Lakhsmi Narasimha Swamy that crop loans would be waived off before August 15, the Chief Minister said as promised to farmers, Rs.18,000 crore was deposited in 23 lakh farmers by August 15.

“I will share details of waiving crop loans upto Rs.2 lakh to every farmer and fulfilling the promise made to farmers,” Revanth Reddy said, adding that farmers, who got crop loans excess than Rs.2 lakh need not worry. Soon after the farmers clear the excess loan component, the government would deposit Rs.2 lakh in their accounts.

Addressing a party meeting after Mahesh Kumar Goud took charge as the new TPCC president at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday, the Chief Minister said from the next crop season, Rs.500 bonus would be extended to fine rice paddy varieties. Towards this, Rs.2000 crore was allocated in the budget. As promised to unemployed youth, notifications were issued for filling up 35,000 jobs and in addition to these, another 35,000 jobs would be offered by this year end, he said.

Revanth calls Arekapudi Gandhi Congress party man

After repeatedly denying that Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi was not witih the Congress and that he continued to be BRS MLA, the Congress finally admitted that he was “their man”. In fact, this was admitted by none other than Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy himself.

“After a leader challenged to visit his house, he did turn up. In turn, our man went to his house,” Revanth Reddy said while talking about the incident involving the Serilingampally MLA.
