Visakhapatnam: RINL-Visakhapatnam steel plant has achieved a net profit of Rs.790 crore during the first nine months of the current fiscal.
Disclosing during the 73rd Republic Day celebrations at Ukkunagaram here on Wednesday, RINL chairman and managing director Atul Bhatt congratulated the RINL collective who worked together to achieve record production at all major production units and for utilising the opportunities of the buoyant market resulting in record profit.
The hot metal production which stood at 4.428 million tonnes registered a growth of 47 per cent while liquid steel production and saleable steel production stood at 4.196 MT and 3.885 MT registering a growth of 47 per cen and 44 per cent respectively, he revealed. The sales volume of 3.725 MT registered a growth of 22 per cent and the sales turnover Rs.19,403 crore registered a growth of 70 per cent, he stated.
