Founded in 1829, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is a private research university in the town of Henrietta in the Rochester, New York metropolitan area. The university is the tenth largest private university in the country in terms of full-time students. In addition to Rochester, NY, RIT has four global campus locations in China, Croatia, Dubai, and Kosovo.

Fourteen RIT alumni and faculty members have been recipients of the Pulitzer Prize; 10 Photojournalism alumni have won a combined 14 Pulitzers. RIT is 3rd largest in STEM, among all US private universities, RIT produces top grads in science, technology, engineering, math. It is also the 50th on the list of “most innovative schools” according to U.S. News & World Report and 33rd on the list of “best value schools,” according to U.S. News & World Report.
