Rj Shekar Basha booked for allegedly defaming sexual assault victim, violating privacy

In her complaint to the police, the woman alleged that Big Boss Season 8 contestant Shekar Basha was engaging in character assassination and was in possession of audio clips of conversations between her and others.

Hyderabad: A case is filed against well-known Radio Jockey, Shekar Basha at Narsingi police station for allegedly defaming a 22 year-old woman who was is allegedly a victim of sexual assault by famed choreographer Jani Basha alias Jani Master.

The woman in her complaint made to the police had stated that the Big Boss Season 8 contestant Shekar Basha, is doing character assassination and is in possession of clips of some audio conversations between her and some people.

“Shekar Basha is in unauthorized possession of my personal call recordings, which he had no legal right to hold. These recordings are a subject matter of pending trial, and his act of playing them in media channels without my consent is a gross violation of my right to privacy, dignity, and mental wellbeing,” she stated in the complaint.

She further suspects that Shekar Basha, had colluded with Jani Master and others and conspired to cause mental distress to her.

Based on the complaint, the Narsingi police registered a case against Shekar Basha and others, and are investigating.
