RMC truck driver booked for wrong-side driving on Hyderabad ORR after X complaint
An RMC truck driver was booked for allegedly driving on the wrong side of Hyderabad's Outer Ring Road near Shamshabad after a motorist shared dashcam footage on X. RGIA Traffic Police traced the driver and initiated legal action while urging motorists to follow traffic rules.
Hyderabad: A driver of a Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) truck has been traced and booked after allegedly driving on the wrong side of the Outer Ring Road near Shamshabad, following a complaint posted by a motorist on ‘ X’ on Tuesday.

The incident came to light after Sarit Chanda, who identified himself as a PhD holder on X, said he had a narrow escape soon after entering the ORR from the Shamshabad entry.
According to his post, he was negotiating a turn when an RMC truck suddenly approached from the wrong direction, forcing him into a dangerous situation. Attaching a dashcam clip, he said he escaped unharmed and urged authorities to take action.
Responding to the complaint, the Hyderabad Traffic Police initially sought the exact location of the incident, requesting a geo-tag or Google Maps location to facilitate an inquiry.
Subsequently, the RGIA Traffic Police stated they conducted an investigation based on the information received and traced the driver of the RMC lorry. The driver was produced before the Shamshabad Police Station for initiating legal action in accordance with the law.
Police requested motorists to strictly adhere to traffic regulations and avoid wrong-side driving, warning that such violations pose a serious threat to the lives of all road users.
