Road caves in at Hyderabad’s Goshamahal

Some vehicles, which were passing by, skid into the caved in portion

Hyderabad: A portion of road stretch at Goshamahal caved in on Tuesday damaging a few vehicles and affecting the traffic flow on this busy corridor.

The stretch between Goshamahal and Dar us Salam collapsed suddenly in the night with some vehicles, a car, an auto and a tractor, which were passing by then skidding into the caved in portion. No one was hurt, according to available reports.

The traffic flow was impacted as the busy stretch has high volumes of vehicles moving in and out.

Incidentally, there have been three to four similar instances of road caving in earlier too. Locals say the road conditions have become precarious because of a nala not being properly managed around here.

The GHMC officials and Mayor G Vijayalaxmi are monitoring the situation.
