Road widening: Actor Allu Arjun’s father-in-law files application to spare his property

HYDERABAD: Tollywood actor Allu Arjun’s father-in-law K Chandrashekhar Reddy on Monday filed an application during the Prajavani public grievance programme here over his property being acquired for executing development works.
Chandrashekhar Reddy, a Congress leader, filed the application stating that his open plot at Jubilee Hills Road number 92 was marked for acquisition under a road widening project.
In the application, he stated that Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials had made markings in his open plot. Accordingly, at one end 20 feet was marked and at the other end, 36 feet was marked for acquisition, he said according to reports.
Chandrashekhar Reddy wanted the officials to reconsider their decision on the acquisition.
However, both GHMC Commissioner Ilambarithi and Mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi were not present in the corporation office and he submitted the application to GHMC officials at the programme.
The State government planned to take up a junction development programme around the KBR Park. To this effect, the government had also estimated that works would be taken up with a cost of Rs 1,100 crore.
