Rock python rescued in Wanaparthy
The python, which was not hurt much, is said to be about 15 years old and was released in Nallamalla forest.

Hyderabad: A rock python that was spotted in a farm at Kothakota Mandal of Wanaparthy district was rescued by a police home guard, Cheerla Krishna Sagar, the founder of Sagar Snake Society.
Sagar got a call from Kottakotta Tahsildar Ramesh Reddy and SI Naga Shekhar Reddy about the 13-foot-long rock python that was spotted by a farmer.
“I and some snake society volunteers rushed to the spot and rescued the snake. We had to struggle a lot to rescue the snake since it weighs 25 kgs. It is the first time I am seeing such a big python,” Krishna Sagar said, speaking to Telangana Today over phone.
