‘RRR’ team appeals to fans to get vaccinated

RRR is one of the most ambitious projects in Indian cinema after the Baahubali franchise which took the box office by storm while putting the Indian cinema on the world map.

Hyderabad: The RRR team on Thursday sent out a message appealing to fans and the general public to strictly follow Covid-19 protocol — wear masks and get vaccinated. The team comprising Alia Bhatt, Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Ajay Devgn and director SS Rajamouli spoke in various south Indian languages in the one-and-a-half-minute video.

Taking everyone by surprise, Bollywood star Alia Bhatt spoke in Telugu language in the video while Jr NTR spoke in Kannada, Ram Charan in Telugu, SS Rajamouli in Malayalam and Ajay Devgn read out the message in Hindi.

A fictitious tale based on the lives of freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem of the rural Telangana, RRR is being made with a whopping budget of Rs 450 crore. Produced by DVV Entertainments, the period drama has international stars like Olivia Morris, Ray Stevenson and Allison Doody.
