Rs 1.50 crore worth ganja seized in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: Police seized dry ganja weighing about 1000 kg at Mushtibanda village of Dammapet mandal in the district on Tuesday. The seized ganja, estimated to be worth about Rs 1.50 crore in the illegal market, was being transported in a tipper from Visakhapatnam to Warangal.

Two arrested for stealing copper wires

In another incident, Kothagudem two town police arrested two persons in connection with copper wire theft from construction sites in the district.

The arrested were identified as Jogu Mallesh and Namala Murthy of Hyderabad from whom Rs 4.76 lakh cash was recovered.
