Nizamabad: Nizamabad Municipal Corporation has approved 390.92 crore budget for 2021-22 financial year during the council budget meeting chaired by Mayor Neethu Kiran on Friday.
Nizamabad Urban MLA Bigala Ganesh Gupta, Nizamabad Rural MLA Bajireddy Goverdhan, MLCs Gangadhar Goud, Aakula Lalitha and the council members attended the two-hour long meeting where various issues were tabled.
The municipal council gave its nod to construct new market yard complex at Ahmadi Bazar in the place of a dilapidated market complex building and Shambuni Gudi mulgies (shops) with an allocation of 6.5 crore funds.
Nizamabad Urban MLA and the Mayor promised to allocate mulgies at market yard and Shambuni Gudi according to the council-approved rates or tenders with a priority to the existing businessmen.
Nizamabad Additional Collector B S Latha, Municipal Commissioner Jeethesh V Patil and municipal officials were present.
