RS Praveen Kumar files complaint with Narsingi police on alleged photo morphing
Praveen Kumar also expressed disappointment over the lack of response from the Telangana Cyber Bureau, despite tagging them on social media a week ago.
Hyderabad: BRS leader Dr RSPraveen Kumar has filed a formal complaint with the Narsingi Police, stating that a morphed image of his participation in a BRS wall-writing campaign was circulated online with malicious intent. He lodged the complaint after the cyber police did not respond to his social media post, seeking action against the miscreants.
In an email complaint addressed to the Narsingi police, Praveen Kumar stated that the image, taken during a campaign in Kosini village in Asifabad district, was tampered with and falsely projected as a protest against BRS policies. He accused a social media account named “Telangana Galam”, allegedly linked to the Congress Party’s IT Cell, of spreading the manipulated content.
“This deliberate misrepresentation is defamatory, misleading, and could incite group tensions,” the BRS leader wrote. He urged police to book those involved under BNS Sections 196, 197, 351, 352, and 353.
Praveen Kumar also expressed disappointment over the lack of response from the Telangana Cyber Bureau, despite tagging them on social media a week ago.
He stated that cyber police who are swift in targeting BRS leaders critical of the government, were silent when BRS leaders are defamed by other political parties. He requested immediate investigation and action to safeguard his constitutional rights and maintain public order.
