‘Run for Action’ oragnised on occasion of Women’s Day in Hyderabad
Around 5,000 women participated in the run

Hyderabad: On the occasion of Women’s Day, the Hyderabad City Police organised “Run for Action-2025” at Necklace Road on Saturday. Around five thousand women participated in the run.
Dr Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, Minister for Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, Women and Child Welfare, and C V Anand Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, flagged off the program.
Hyderabad CP, C V Anand, speaking on the occassion said women are contributing significantly in all the prominent sectors of the country while taking care of their family responsibilities, so there is a need to recognise their importance.
“Thirty per cent of the 18,000 police personnel working in the Hyderabad City Police are women. On the occasion of Women’s Day, four women inspectors have been appointed as Station House Officers for Law and Order and Traffic Police Stations,” he said.
