Rythu Vedika aims at improving income of farmers: Jagadish Reddy
The day when the farmers will be able to fix price of their crops, should come with the unity of cultivators, he opined.

Nalgonda: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Wednesday said Rythu Vedikas should inculcate knowledge among the farmers in modern cultivation methods to enable them get at least Rs one lakh income per acre for agriculture.
Inaugurating Palle Prakruthi Vanams and Rythu Vedika at Yadgarpally of Miryalaguda mandal in the district, Jagadish Reddy said that Rythu Vedikas should turn as platforms for the farmers to share their experiences and expertise on best cultivation methods to achieve high yield of a crop, resulting in improving in their incomes. The Rythu Vedikas should also help the farmers to get a good price for the crop produced by the latter. The day when the farmers will be able to fix price of their crops, should come with the unity of cultivators, he opined. Rythu Vedikas should work as a platforms to unite the farmers and bring revolutionary changes in the agriculture in the State, he added.
The Minister said Pattana Pragathi and Palle Pragathi programmes, which were initiated by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, were continuing in erstwhile Nalgonda district on a mission mode since July 1. Villages have been turning as models for overall development due to the initiatives taken up by the Chief Minister. “The schemes of the State government aimed at reviving caste based professions and bringing past glory to agriculture was yielding desired results and strengthening the rural economy in the State,” he said. He pointed out that all the villages received a major facelift with Palle Prakruthi Vanams, Vaikuntadhamams and other development works.
He said greenery has improved in the villages with the saplings planted under Telangana ku Haritha Haram (TKHH) and the saplings planted along with the roads were grown into trees in several places. It would help in creating a healthy atmosphere in the villages and towns, he said.
Miryalaguda MLA Nallamothu Bhaskar Rao, Additional District Collector (Local Bodies) Rahul Sharma also attended the programme.
