S Harivardhan of Indian Bousher School, Muscat, won the Brilliant Trophy Open online chess tournament after a tie-break with Mahendra Teja and KVK Karthik, who finished second and third. The event saw 12 rounds and special prizes for women and veterans

Hyderabad: Three players — S Harivardhan, Mahendra Teja and KVK Karthik — tied for first place with 10 points each out of 12 rounds in the Brilliant Trophy Open online chess tournament. In the tie-break, S Harivardhan (Indian Bousher School, Muscat) won the event, Mahendra Teja finished second and KVK Karthik took third place. The tournament was conducted online.
