Saddula Bathukamma celebrated in Vemulawada on grand scale
Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, local MLA Adi Srinivas, municipal chairperson Ramathirdapu Madhavi and others took part in celebrations.
Rajanna-Sircilla: Saddula Bathukamma was celebrated on a grand scale in Vemulawada temple town on Tuesday.
Though the festival is usually celebrated after nine days of the beginning of Petramasa (Sarva Pitru Mahalaya Amavasya) across the state, there is a tradition in Vemulawada to celebrate the event after seven days.
Municipal authorities made elaborate arrangements for the event held at Bathukamma theppa at Mulavagu. Women, who gathered in big numbers, played bathukamma by making rounds around systematically arranged bathukammas.

Not only Vemulawada, saddula bathukamma was also celebrated in few more places in the erstwhile Karimnagar district.
