Hyderabad: Samsung has expanded its One UI 8.5 beta programme to a wider range of Galaxy devices as part of a phased global rollout.

Following its initial expansion in March, the beta programme is now being extended to additional devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy S23 FE and, for the first time, an A-series device—the Galaxy A36 5G.

The update is being rolled out in select markets, including India, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States.

As part of its continued collaboration with Android, Samsung has introduced enhanced file-sharing capabilities in the One UI 8.5 beta. The update brings support for AirDrop-like functionality through Quick Share, enabling more seamless cross-platform file transfers.

The feature will be available on select devices, including the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6.

Samsung said the beta programme will continue to expand to more Galaxy devices later this month. Users interested in participating can register through the Samsung Members app.
