Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Minister KT Rama Rao on Monday reviewed the developmental works being taken up in the Kukatpally constituency.

During the meeting, the Minister said that works pertaining to the Fatehnagar flyover were pending as the South Central Railway (SCR) is yet to give permission and the works are expected to commence soon after their approval.


Works related to nalas being taken up under Strategic Nala Development Programme (SNDP), and the works pertaining to underground drainage lines, roads and parks were also reviewed.

The Minister instructed the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials to sanction funds immediately to execute civic works that are of high priority including roads, construction of a retaining wall of nala in Kukatpally constituency, etc.

The meeting was attended by Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi, Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao, MLC K Naveen Kumar, GHMC Commissioner DS Lokesh Kumar, Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration (CDMA) N Satyanarayana, GHMC Zonal Commissioner of Kukatpally V Mamatha and others.
