Sangareddy: ACB traps Additional Assistant Engineer for taking Rs 25,000 bribe
An Additional Assistant Engineer of Transco in Sangareddy was caught red‑handed by ACB officials while accepting a Rs 25,000 bribe. He was arrested during a trap operation and later produced before the Special ACB Court in Hyderabad.
Sangareddy: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths nabbed Additional Assistant Engineer of Transco B Ramakrishna Reddy while he was accepting Rs 25,000 bribe from a person. The complainant accidentally rammed his car on an electrical pole in the town.
The accused officer reportedly demanded the bribe for not taking any action against him. Unable to pay the amount, he approached the ACB officials who laid a trap and caught him while accepting the amount at his office in the town on Thursday. He was produced before Special SPE and ACB court in Hyderabad.
