Sangareddy: District Collector M Hanumantha Rao suspended Angath, Assistant Engineer (Rural Water and Sanitation), Munipally mandal, for negligence in supplying Mission Bhagiratha water to houses in Munipally. The Collector also suspended Panchayat Secretary of Peddalodi village Nandeeshwar besides serving show cause notices on three others.
During his sudden inspection of Peddalodi on Thursday, the Collector found the officials being negligent in discharging their duties.
Rao also served show cause notices on sarpanch of Peddalodi, APO and APM on charges of negligence in executing Palle Pragathi and Telangana Ku Haritha Haram works.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector said he has appointed MPDO Munipally Ramesh Kulakarni as Special Officer to the village to put everything in place within three days.
Saying that the plants were not being maintained, Rao said no one in the village was segregating the waste though the households were given two different baskets for collecting waste. He further noted that houses at Peddalodi were not getting drinking water.
Educating the people on how to approach the official machinery, the Collector informed them to just visit a nearby MeeSeva Centre to lodge any complaints or to avail any service. The Collector called upon the villagers not to approach middlemen. He said that a team of staff will go through all the complaints at his office in Sangareddy and will issue directions to respective officers.
