Sangareddy auto driver returns bag with Rs 13 lakh, wins praise

Sangareddy: An auto driver earned widespread appreciation after he returned a bag containing valuables worth Rs 13 lakh to a passenger who had accidentally left it behind in the vehicle.
According to Sangareddy police, the passenger, S Srinivas Goud, a resident of Kalher, hired the auto of Sheik Khadir on Monday morning to travel from Malkapur junction to the new bus station.
In his hurry while getting down, Goud forgot his bag, which contained 12.5 tolas of gold ornaments and some cash.
Noticing the bag, Khadir promptly informed the police, who traced the owner and returned the valuables. Impressed by his honesty, Sangareddy SP Paritosh Pankaj invited Khadir to his office, felicitated him, and handed over a cash reward.
The SP urged all auto drivers, bus conductors, and others engaged in public transport to take inspiration from Khadir’s exemplary conduct.
