Sangareddy: Sarvodya Grama Seva Foundation (SGSF), a Sangareddy based NGO, has come forward to support two children who were orphaned following the death of their parents within five days gap at Ammeerabad village of Nyalkal Mandal in Sangareddy district.
Giving a new hope to the children’s future on the day of Diwali, SGSF founder Dr Sudhakar Nayak, an IRS officer by profession, has visited the children on Thursday, on the day of Diwali, and handed over essentials such rice, oil, pulses, atta and others.
Speaking to Telangana Today, Dr Nayak said that he discussed the issue with the 0SGSF core team after seeing the news report published in Telangana Today on the plight of the children Beeradar Vignesh (8) and Beeradar Radhabai (6). While their mother Swapnabai (24) died on October 26, their father Maruthi Rao (26) died of prolonged illness on October 31.
Moved by the children’s plight, Dr Nayak said that the SGSF core team unanimously resolved to support them at least till they completed their Xth Class. They have decided to get them admitted in Swami Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence at Dhanaram in Vikarabad district. It is a Gurukul school run by Yagna Foundation, founded by Dr Rajashekar Reddy and Dr Ujawal Raj. Since the education and residential facility costs Rs 30,000 each, the IRS officer said that they have decided to pay Rs 60,000 towards the annual fees.
Dr Nayak said the team met the children, their relatives and villagers on Diwali. Meanwhile, several organisations such as Satya Sai Foundation Sangareddy, MD Versatile Scooters Chandu Kumar and many others have come forward to support the children. The relatives and villagers have thanked SGSF for their gesture. SGSF core members P Sangareddy and Rajinikanth accompanied Dr Nayak.
